ELISA
BALDASSARRI

Baldassarri Elisa, born in Pesaro, “adopted” by the city of ceramics, first for study and then for love.
Lover of "beauty" and creativity at 360 degrees, since middle school she has followed artistic studies, graduated in the art of metals and goldsmithing at the F. Mengaroni State Art Institute in Pesaro, she continued her studies by attending the ISIA of Faenza, where she had the opportunity to expand the fields of design and research.
In particular, a course, that of Fashion Design, awakened in her a forgotten passion, fashion. Fashion was the topic of discussion of both degree theses, in particular, the study of Recycled, a philosophy that sees as a foundation the idea of transforming old clothes to create "new" ones, represented a new starting point, deconstructing the dress to create something else meant for me to have new creative stimuli. Various exhibition experiences have seen Elisa protagonist and participant, often in the Ravenna area but also outside the region, in particular at the Vintange Selection in Florence.
Her creations are a contamination of techniques, experiences and styles known during the course of study, life and work. Dresses, bags and bijoux are characterized by “discreet details”.
At the end of her journey at the ISIA in Faenza, Elisa Baldassarri decided to study an alternative method in order to present a collection, far from the classic fashion show, evaluating and considering what has already been proposed, the economic part and the message that the company wants to communicate. The title of her thesis il "IL TEATRO, vestito, COMUNICA...", to prevent this project from being just a paper product, Elisa Baldassarri collaborated with the Accademia Perduta Romagna/Teatri, and she decides to consider Marcello Chiarezza's show "Hansel and Gretel", collaborating with the stylist Geoffrey B Small for the realization of the garments. After a careful research on fashion and theater and an in-depth analysis of the history of "Hansel and Gretel" with a study of the characters, Elisa goes on to design her thesis. Her small autumn / winter women's collection consists of 10 pieces with two hats.
Elisa Baldassarri wants that the garments made have "traces" of each other, like two people who embrace and then move away, leaving one on top of the other a trace. Concretely, it can be a sleeve, which remains in the position of the gesture of the embrace "impresses" the other shirt. During her internship with the designer Geoffrey B Small she was able to study the creation of this collection, choosing to make clothes with recycling. So Elisa bought some garments at the La Montagnola market in Bologna and she found other garments in her wardrobe, thus creating her small, completely recycled and sustainable collection. Elisa Baldassarri's intent was to demonstrate the intervention on a garment used to get new items.
