Jacopo Contini graduated in Industrial Design at the ISIA di Faenza, with full marks, creating the first thesis in Fashion Recycle: Essence. The project is based on the reinterpretation of everyday clothing, giving it strong characterizations and very defined volumetric specifications, through a dry and Unisex aesthetic.

The project is divided into "Oggi non sono io" and "Essence". The first part comes to life from the reading of Percival Everett's tale "Ferito", Jacopo Contini is inspired by the physical space of the cave where the protagonist of the story finds a safe place where he lets himself go to love and he questions himself. Darkness, humidity, sand, stalagmites and stalactites were the main elements of the inspiration. In "Oggi non sono io", Jacopo Contini reworks three items:: blue shirt, cool wool jacket and pajamas.

In the second part of the project, Jacopo Contini is inspired by the Mods, a movement born in the late 1950s. After completing his studies, after different work experiences he devoted himself totally to his true passion: vintage.
